Ohio SIBS Day Camps for Siblings (Ages 7–12)

A fun, supportive day just for siblings

We are excited to offer Empowering Sibling Voices Day Camps, designed just for siblings of individuals with disabilities! These one-day camps provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where siblings can enjoy outdoor recreation while also celebrating their unique role, sharing experiences, and building meaningful connections with other siblings who truly understand.

Our camps balance classic camp fun with opportunities for connection, self-expression, and belonging. Through engaging activities and interactive discussions, campers gain leadership and advocacy skills—empowering them to use their voices to support their siblings and make a difference.

Who Can Attend

  • Siblings of individuals with disabilities

  • Ages 7–12 years old

Cost

  • FREE for siblings participating in Supporting SIBS or sibling support groups through a County Board of Developmental Disabilities

  • $50 for siblings not currently participating through a county board

Transportation

Families are asked to provide their own transportation. You may also contact your county board to see if transportation options are available.

What to Expect

  • Outdoor recreation and classic camp activities

  • Opportunities to connect with other siblings

  • Activities focused on sibling identity, strengths, and voice

  • A safe, supportive environment led by trained staff

Additional details about camp activities and a packing list will be shared closer to the camp date.

How to Register

Registration is required and spots are limited.

  1. Complete the Ohio SIBS Camp Registration Form Ohio SIBS Camp - Empowering Sibling Voices – Fill out form

  2. Select one camp location and date (Camp NuHop or Camp Kern)

  3. Once your form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with next steps.

Please note: This registration reserves your child’s spot with Ohio SIBS. Families will receive additional instructions if any separate camp-specific forms are required.
